SAS/ACCESS Interface to Google BigQuery does not support the NUMERIC data type with Rev. 940_19w34 for SAS^® 9.4M6 and SAS^® Viya^® 3.4 (19w34). 
Note: The SAS/ACCESS for Relational Databases documentation incorrectly states that this data type is supported. 

Attempting to read in a BigQuery table that contains a variable defined with a NUMERIC data type might result in an error similar to the following:

The same error might occur with a BigQuery table that contains a variable defined as a BIGNUMERIC data type.  For more information on this issue, see SAS Note 68312, "CLI prepare error....unknown data type" occurs when you read a BigQuery table that contains a variable with the BIGNUMERIC data type.
